Polly Grace Best

1933 – 2022

Polly Grace Best passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Azria Health Montclair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Omaha, NE.

Polly Grace Best was born in Branson, CO on July 21, 1933, the daughter of William and Sara (Day) Munsey. She graduated from Portales, NM High School in 1952.

Polly was united in marriage to Delmon Allen Best on May 12, 1952, in their hometown of Portales, NM. They began a wonderful journey together that would last for 63 years until Delmon’s passing in 2015.

Throughout her working career, Polly was a bookkeeper, bank teller, head cashier and worked several years as a clerk in the O’Daniel Motors service department, Omaha, NE, before retiring.

Polly enjoyed crochet, plastic canvas crafts, cross stitch, embroidery, and Square Dancing. Later in life, she was a devout student of the bible and member of the Living Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Sarah; her husband Delmon; her brothers AB and Cone Munsey; her sister Carlene Butler; her son Mikeal; and daughter Gayla.

She is survived by her son Bryan (Kathryn) Best, daughter-in-law Rita Roumpf, grandchildren; Matthew (Chelsey) Best and Jessica Minium and Kristen (Cody) Best-Friesz, and Katelynn Zimmerle, and great-grandchildren; Elliot, Philippa, Gracelynn, Edith, Logan, and Addilynn. She is also survived by her many friends from the Living Church of God.

Arrangements are with Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, Omaha, Nebraska.

A funeral service for Polly will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
