He worked as a custom jeweler for many years before retiring to spend more time with his grandchildren. At the age of 40, Pete got a live-saving liver transplant which allowed his family to enjoy 23 more wonderful years with him.
Pete truly loved the outdoors and spent some of his retirement as a volunteer campground host in Wyoming.
Every couple of years he would travel to Germany to visit his oldest daughter, grandkids and the place where he grew up.
Preceding Peter in death is his mother, Waltraud Anna.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel N. Wiley; father, Albert Charles Wiley; a sister, Lisa (Rick) Hannegan; daughters, Melanie (Heiko) Hormann, Danielle (Andrew) Mathison, and Anna (Matthew) Nightser, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
