Norma was born on October 11, 1929 in El Reno Oklahoma to William and Opal Hixson. She grew up in Edmond and helped the family with the farm. She married SMSgt Robert Hanna and started a family. They traveled internationally and domestically during his military career. During their marriage, they won several Square Dancing contests and bowling trophies. Norma also was active in a women’s softball league. They raised two boys over a 30 plus year marriage. Through the years, Norma was employed at Tip Top Plastic plant, Offutt AFB: Offutt Inn, and at the Best Western Inn. She had many friends at her residence in Ralston at The Ralston House Apartments. Norma was a believer, was baptized at Westside Church in Omaha and continued to attend church and the Senior Care n’ Share lunches. Norma is survived by her 2 sons, Richard Hanna and Christopher Hanna and his wife Melissa. Also surviving are Norma’s 7 grandchildren; Johnny and his wife Naomi, Jenny, Michael and his wife Crystal, Steven and his wife Amy, James, Jackie and Blake and 17 great-grandchildren; Kylie, Ashley, Jhace, Eveliegh, Matthew, Jonathan, Solomon, Tiffany, Amanda, Jacob, Tanner, Dawson, Jayden, Taylor, Emma, Zack and Jaxon. Norma is survived by one brother, Wendell Hixson and his wife Mary. She has 2 nephews, 1 niece, 6 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces. Norma is preceded by her parents, William and Opal Hixson, husband, Robert Hanna, brother, Gene and his wife Donna. Memorials suggested to Westside Church, 15050 W.
