Manuel, Michael R. Aug 5, 1940 - Jun 9, 2016 Michael Robert Manuel passed away in his home on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Born in Slayton MN, the Manual family moved from Westbrook MN to St. Peter MN. Growing up in St. Peter, he worked in his father's retail business, and eventually met Susan Quest. In 1964, they married in her home town of Omaha, where they lived since 1973. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. He retired after 20 years employment at Mutual of Omaha. Preceded in death by his parents, Harold Richard and Ione Manuel. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan L. Manuel; son, James (Tobi) Manuel; sisters, Sandra (Dick) Pope, and Gayla Clemons, both of Winona MN; grandchildren, Susan Manuel, Michaela Payton, Hillary and Shelbi Milks; and 3 great grandchildren. VISITATION Tuesday 5-7pm at Crosby Colonial Chapel. FUNERAL Service Wednesday at 10am at Lutheran Church of the Master East Campus, 2617 S. 114th St. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
