Dearest Family and Friends, I was thinking about all the fun times and celebrations at Grandpa and Grandma's home and Uncle Al's home growing up with my first cousins, Marcia, Mike, and Greg. They were great memories. Mike was always the tall and skinny kid, and I was always happy to have a cousin like Mike to call family.  I want to extend my heart-filled love and prayers for his loss at this time. He is up in Heaven with his Dad and family celebrating with all the firemen. He was brave in his service to the fire department as chief and family as a father, husband, son, and friend.  I am proud of you, Mike.  Rest in peace, Michael, and God Bless you and your family. I love you all.

Sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I met Mike when I was a mechanic working on OFD's rigs.  I remember working on Aerial 42, Mike was always willing to lend a hand and was genuinely interested in what wrong.  He would hang out in the apparatus bay until the repairs were complete and make sure everything was handled.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I thoroughly enjoyed being his Physical Therapist the past couple of months. He had a great sense of humor and made our sessions fly by! He was one of my favorite patients to work with and converse/make jokes with. He always made me feel welcome in his home. I will definitely miss him.

I remember Mike as the pesky little brother of Marcia. He was always flirting with her friends and driving us crazy! But I also remember him as a friendly and talkative guy whenever I ran into him at church, a store, or wherever. He will be missed! Monica Luers Hickman

I remember the first day that I met Mike at the firehouse. He made me feel welcome. Made me feel like I belonged . When he found out that I wanted to become a driver, he taught me not only how to drive but how to take care of the rig, and make sure that everyone on the rig was safe and knowledgeable, and how things should be run on different scenes. He was an excellent cook and also made you laugh a lot. He was a good mentor and a good friend.

Sorry to hear about Mike's passing .  Always a pleasure to work with him on the OFD.  RIP, Mike!
