My sympathies to one of my cousin's family - of all the Shonka girls, she is the only one I got to know.  May you find peace at this time and may memories help you get through you grief.

Marti and I met in 1979 singing with the ad hoc choir led by the St. Louis  Jesuits for ordinations in Omaha and Milwaukee.  We and Mary Nolan toured places like the War Memorial and the Old Milwaukee site in the city, and ate at the Buttery near our dorm in the spare time between rehearsals and Masses.  
Your Mom was lovely, lively and a sweet friend.  May she rest with her Buddy in sweet peace.

I and the staff of Delivered Dental Services extends our deepest sympathy to Marti's family and friends.  I have visted Marti several times a month over the past 6 years and have grown very attached to her.  The sound of her voice when I entered her room always filled my heart with happiness and love.  I loved the songs she would sing to me and will treasure her memory for a lifetime.  Thank you for allowing her to be a part of my life.
