Marilyn Lucille Peterson

Marilyn was born daughter to Arthur and Anna Johnson on November 25, 1926 in Omaha, Nebraska. Marilyn grew up with brothers Lawrence, Harold and Robert in Omaha, Nebraska. Marilyn attended and graduated from Omaha Technical High School. Marilyn met Kenneth A. Peterson at Swedish Covenant Church in Omaha. Ken and Marilyn were married October 23, 1948 and celebrated 61 years of marriage. Marilyn moved 37 times and lived in Nebraska, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Arkansas, South Dakota, Kansas, Minnesota and North Dakota. Ken and Marilyn visited all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. Ken and Marilyn enjoyed animals, traveling and making new friends. Ken and Marilyn devoted themselves to their family & friends.

Marilyn worked as a secretary and homemaker dedicated to her family. Marilyn was treasurer of 4 Bar C Enterprises designing & building custom residential houses and caretaker for Pat & Paula Broe Estate. Marilyn volunteered at Westernaires Horse Riding Shows & Parades and at church.

Marilyn is survived by; Sister-in-Laws Christine Goble and Lara Johnson; Daughters Cindy and Son-in-Law Kevin Smith; Sons Clark and Daughter-in-Law Kathy Peterson, Craig and Daughter-in-Law Laura Peterson; 8 grandchildren (2 preceded in death) and 15 Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation Sat. 10 to 11 AM with a funeral Service at 11 AM on October 6th at First Covenant Church; 201 North 90th Street; Omaha, Nebraska 68114. Interment will be after luncheon at 1:30 PM Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sunset Garden. Memorial gifts may be given to First Covenant Church of Omaha.
