Laura M. Barnes

Laura Michelle “Laurie” Barnes was born at U. S. Naval Air Facility, Rota, Spain, on June 9, 1965, and died March 31, 2019, in Omaha, Nebraska, following a stroke. Laurie grew up in Washington, Minnesota, and Texas and spent her adult life in Nebraska. She completed a certificate for computer operator in Dallas, Texas, and was a licensed cosmetologist in Nebraska. In recent years Laurie was able to spend more time with her family. She was full of life and enjoyed being around people, health permitting. She loved her church and had strong faith.

Laurie is survived by children Anthony, Josh, and Jenifer Barnes and their father, Brian, and daughter April Ault and her father, David. Her beloved grandchildren are Tony’s children, Abigail and Jacob; Jenifer’s son, Christopher; and April’s sons, Logan and Owen. She is also survived by parents Ruby and Richard Peterson and Gene and Becky Lormor, brothers Greg Peterson and David and Tim Lormor, and canine companion, Lucy.
