John P. Schroeder

John was born in St. Paul Minnesota, the son of John and Lena Schroeder. He was married to the late Feli Schroeder.

John spent 20+ years serving in the Air Force at during which he was stationed in various states. After serving he was employed by Mutual of Omaha and was the top mutual funds seller two years in a row.

He enjoyed golfing, gardening, reading, going to hockey games and having his grandchildren over to cook for him. John will be remembered for his humor, tinkering, and appetite.

He is survived by his three children, John G. Schroeder, Denise Hancock, and Mary Miller. He has nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, with two more on the way. John was loved by all his family.

Some fond memories of John include his love for eating, especially chocolate. His beverage of choice as he grew older was orange soda, which he kept stocked by the gallons in his fridge.

A visitation for John will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral service will be live streamed via https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/c24069564964547
