Jerry loved spending time with family, fishing, watching the Huskers, playing Keno and having fun outdoors. To family and friends, Jerry was a well-known comedian. Whether it was acting silly, making goofy faces or telling mindless jokes, he always had a playful mind and heart. He was always one to approach new people to include them in the environment they were in, just to make them feel comfortable.
Jerry loved visiting Las Vegas, where he and Terri spent many vacations. He also always commented on his fishing trip in Sitka, Alaska, for salmon with his great friend Todd Erickson, he often called it a trip of a lifetime! Recently the family had a wonderful vacation in Branson, Missouri and Jerry could not stop saying how fun it was, again showing his love for family time. Jerry also loved playing cards, board games, Rummy Royal and teaching the kids how to play new games he had experienced.
Jerry loved cooking and especially making Hot Wings and Tacos with his fabulous fried tortilla shells. The morning breakfasts at a park or lake were something everyone looked forward to. He knew just how to make the perfect bacon, hash browns, toast and eggs, even though he despised eggs.
Jerry Kent… a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Truly a beautiful soul.
