Irma was born on June 13, 1929 in Seward, NE and passed peacefully on August 19, 2022 at Brookestone Village. She was preceded in death by husband, Elmer Rosberg Jr.; parents, Henry & Helena Frank; brother and sister, Gilbert Frank and Marilyn Haynes, as well as numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law -- Doris Frank, Elwin Haynes, Irene and Melvin Thompson, Robert and Velma Rosberg, Russell Rosberg, Clarine Rosberg, Leroy and Sharon Rosberg, and Betty and Larry Nielsen. Irma is survived by her children, Ramona Edwards (Dan Friedlund) and Eric Rosberg (companion Maria Filippelli); grandchildren, Sara Biodrowski (Cory), Christopher Edwards (companion Heather Savoie), Brandon Rosberg (Bethany), Blake Rosberg (Mandy), Stacy Christie (John) and Sarah Lawrence (John Paul); three great-grandsons and four step-great-grandchildren; plus brother-in-law Dean Rosberg and sister-in-law Sandy Rosberg.
She was truly beloved by all who had the honor of knowing her—including her family, friends, neighbors, patients she cared for as a Registered Nurse in the Omaha area, and her church family. Irma graduated from Immanuel Hospital School of Nursing on August 5, 1950 and retired on August 30, 1994. During her nursing career she served at Children’s Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, Immanuel Hospital and Methodist Hospital. In addition, she was a faithful and active member of First Central Congregational Church for over 65 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Central Congregational Church Memorial Fund.
A visitation for Irma will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 10:30 AM at First Central Congregational.
