Irene Mernette Moore was born October 6, 1941 in Springfield, South Dakota to parents Pearline and Robert McBride. Irene was one of 13 siblings. She attended Marty Indian Boarding School as a child and went on to attend beauty school in California. Irene married Leon Moore on November 6, 1962 and had 3 children, Michael Moore (deceased), Theresa (Larry) Baggett, and Tanya Blair; 8 grandchildren, Dawn (Chris) Chamberlain, Jaimie Baggett, Alex Baggett, Donovon Baggett, Cody Shriner, Drake Stuczynski, Hunter Blair, and Taylee Blair; and 7 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Laila, Calen, and Avery Chamberlain, and Sophie, Annabelle, and Dawson Baggett. Irene was a wonderful mother and a loving and devoted grandmother. Irene passed peacefully in her home in Omaha, Nebraska on April 26, 2019.
A memorial service will be held for Irene on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11 am at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
