Hilario Chavez, (Lario), was called home to be with the Lord on the afternoon of May 23, 2023. Hilario was a truly beautiful spirit with a heart of gold, a light that shone so brightly and touched and warmed everyone he encountered.
Hilario was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1989 but was raised from early childhood in the Ralston Nebraska area, a community he was proud to call home. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in his work at Cox Communications.
The job he prayed for and loved the most was being a father to his beloved baby girl, Eva, who was and will always be his pride and joy.
Although he was the life of the party, had an infectious smile, an awesome laugh, and a gravitational pull, he was also deeply spiritual, caring, thoughtful, reliable, honest, compassionate, and gave the best hugs.
Hilario is survived by his loving father, Eusebio Chavez, mother Juana Chavez, sisters Cristina Zaragoza and Hizeel Tomlinson, daughter Eva Chavez, along with a long list of close extended family and friends.
While Hilario was taken too soon from our world, his imprint of who he was will never leave. Hilario, until we meet again in Heaven, we love and will miss you.
A visitation for Hilario will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5912 S 36th St., Omaha, Nebraska. A rosary will occur Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 5912 S 36th St., Omaha, Nebraska. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 5912 S 36th St., Omaha, Nebraska.
