Gloria White Marshall, beloved wife of Douglas Marshall II, died on February 22, 2023, at New Cassel Retirement Center, Omaha, NE. Born to Earl and Edna White, on October 22, 1927, in Huntington, NY, she grew up in Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island Sound. Gloria married Douglas in 1952, and had their two children while Douglas was the Head Gamekeeper for the Marshall Fields' Caumsett Estate, Lloyd Harbor, NY. They then moved to Stanfordville, NY, and started Douglas Marshall Kennels (1960-1994). Gloria studied interior design at Bennett College and started Gloria Marshall Interiors (1975-1997). After her husband died, Gloria moved to Naples, FL, and later to Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She spent her summers in Nantucket, MA, with her daughter, son-in-law, and grand-daughters. She often visited her son and daughter-in-law, across the country as their Air Force careers progressed. Gloria is survived by: her son, Col Douglas Marshall III, and his wife, Col Patricia Fornes; her daughter, Heather Lyons and her husband, Robert; and her grand-daughters, Kate Lyons Mailloux, and her husband Joshua, and Alicia Lyons; her two great-grandchildren, Cory Douglas Mailloux and Nina Gloria Mailloux.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 1pm at New Cassel Chapel, 900 N 90th Street, Omaha. A memorial service and burial will be at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Royal Palm Beach, FL, at a later date.
