Gladys was born and raised in Bloomfield, Nebraska with a strong Lutheran-based background. Gladys went to Lutheran school, so it was important to her that her children attended catechism classes in the Lutheran church. She was the youngest of 9 children. She eventually moved to Omaha, Nebraska at age 18 with her sister, Dorothy, and cousin, Lorraine. Gladys then started a job at Muligraph Sales and in the Bomber Plant during World War II. She continuously kept her faith in God and was one of the best people to have known. Gladys loved to make people laugh, which earned her the nicknames of “Joy” and “Gladness.” The light she brought into the lives she touched will truly be missed.
Gladys is survived by her 3 children, Connie, Steve, and Pam; 18 grandchildren, Brian, Jill, Ryan, Heather, Andrea, Sarah, Thomas, Anna, Caleb, Ellise, Louis, Amanda, Rich, Josh, Angie, Jesse, Travis, and David; and 21 great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Alyssa, Kason, Anabella, Issac, Jacob, Kyla, Richie, Karen, Makayla, Helene, Kieler, Colton, Jonathan, Michael, Giavanna, Eliana, Braelynn, Thomas Jr, Jackson, and Brooklyn.
