He was born to the late George Sr. and Louise Geislar on August 1, 1919 in Omaha, Nebraska. He married Bette Nodgaard on February 20, 1943. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII and the Korean War. He loved to golf, play cards, fish, and to travel the world.
He was a faithful husband to his late wife Bette; a father in every way to his two sons, Greg (Anita) and Tom (Betsy); and beloved by his four grandchildren, Geoff, Todd, Sally and Kristine; as well as his six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nautica, Alexis, Madysen, Bianca, and Amelia.
To George Geislar, a man who lived life long and lived life well: you have earned this eternal rest. You have joined Bette, your sister Hortense, and your parents in peace. Your energy and your laughter will be always remembered by those you leave behind. We are fortunate to have shared this life with you.
Please join us in remembrance of George and his life on Friday November 16th at 11:00am. Services will be held at Central Presbyterian Church at 726 South 55th with reception to follow.
