Age 84. Omaha. Survived by wife of 51 years, Irene; daughters, Marilyn Colby, Maddie Fraser (Harvey), Steve Vondrasek (Joy), Mark Vondrasek (Patty), Roger Vondrasek (Carol) and Larry Vondrasek (Ramona); 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Lillian Cuff and Robert Vondrasek; nieces, nephews and cousins. Graduated from Iowa State and Creighton University. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army for four years. For 17 years he worked as an engineer and served as Vice President of OPPD. In 1970, Frank and his family moved to Wisconsin where he served as Vice President, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Madison Gas and Electric.
Frank also served as Board of Directors of American Red Cross, Board of Directors of United Way, and Board of Directors of U.S. Bank and was a 50-Year Mason. Frank and Irene enjoyed many years of traveling the world as members of the Friendship Force. In retirement, Frank and Irene spent many years in Arizona. In 2007, they returned to Omaha to be closer to family.
MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday 10:30am at Crosby Colonial Chapel. Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30am. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Friday at 3pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
