Donald K. Schafer

Don was preceded in death by his son Kevin Lee Schafer, daughter Julie Kay King, grandson Christopher David Scott, sons-in-law; Donald King and Steven DeVivo, His brothers; Wayne Schafer, Gale Schafer and Victor Schafer.

Don is survived by his wife Lila, daughters; Wendi Sherrill and Connie DeVivo, sons; David (Denise) Scott and Daniel (Jean) Scott, grandchildren; Julie Kae King, Jason (Betty) King, Amanda King, Nick (Melissa) DeVivo, Crissa (Denny) Martin, Jennifer (Sam) Mazzuca, Cory (Madison) Scott, Britni (Bill) Shrader, Taylor Scott (Alex Watson), great grandchildren; Kaitlin Betzer, Johnathan Betzer, Jovi Faith Snowden, Hayley (Keaton) Harris, Keira DeVivo, Ayden Martin, Dustin Vogel, Ava Scott, Kamryn Shrader, Gemma Shrader, Everly Watson, Haisley Watson, Wrenley Watson, step grandchildren; Chris, Courtney, Austin, step great grandchildren; Kirk, Tyler, Maya, step great great grandchildren; Zoey and Carmine, brother-in-law Donnie (Jo) Dencklau, many nieces and nephews, many church and neighbor friends.

Don took pride in his faith, his family, his Buick, his lawn, his garden, the Huskers, KC Chiefs, and Creighton Basketball, in that order.

A visitation for Donald will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM.
