Age 83. Don was the son of Howard and Mildred (Papstein) Mather of Norfolk, NE. Don served in the U.S. Navy from May 1951 until March 1955. Preceded in death by parents, Howard and Mildred Mather; wife, Lola G.; son, Richard L. Lollar; brothers, Howard, Dale and Harold; sister, Barbara Suehl. Don's life and memory are forever cherished by his sister, Beverly Dillon; children: Linda Brownlee, Diane Knutsen, Nina (Jeff) Wood, Donald (Dixie) Mather, Eva (Lee) Dane, and Sandy Mottl; 23 grandchildren and numerous great - grandchildren and great - great - grandchildren.
Visitation Thursday, January 18, 1:30-2:30pm followed by services at 2:30pm, all at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Burial with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy and VFW at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
