Survived by wife, Camilla; sons, Tim Benson and wife, Nancy, Scott Benson and wife, Renee, daughters, Pam Linehan and husband, Shawn, Stacy Feder and husband George, Shelly Germany and husband, Ken; grandchildren, Josh, Shawn, Abby, Kelsey, Beth, Zach, Annessa, Devin, Jordan, AJ, and Sydney; great grandchildren, Tyler, Colin, Ellie, Jack; nieces, nephews and many close hunting and fishing friends.

Don was a member of Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. He served as Union president of Northwestern Bell Local 740 and as Union president of Directors Omaha Suburban. Don worked at Northwestern Bell for 37 years. In 1990 Don started a new business, Lines of Communication.
