Mr. Darrell Vaught

He was born October 20, 1946, and grew up in Omaha, NE. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy (USS CORAL SEA). He spent his professional life as a Cement Finishers in local 538. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and being outdoors, along with fishing. He was an active member of Alcohol Anonymous AA and one of his most proud moments was when he completed his 35 years of sobriety. Surround by those he helped through their journey.

He is proceeded in death by his father Kenneth Vaught, mother Barbara Vaught, sister Jeanette Haarstick, and sister Barbara Ann McCurry.

He is survived by The love of his life Sue Ann Vaught: Children: Jessica (Charles) Gordon, Tonya (Craig Faust) Vaught, David (Jennifer) Vaught, Jennifer (Brian) Bogan, Jason Arnold, Teri (Dave) Crone, and DJ Vaught; grandchildren Chrystian Gordon, Khloe Gordon, Alyssa Gordon, Kaitlin Vaught, Nick Lesac, Dakotah Klimek, Cierra Klimek, Hunter Vaught, Koral Faust, Jasmine Bogan, DeVaughn Bogan, DeShawn Bogan, Marcellus (Esmeralda) Riverz, Danny Parsons, and Stephanie Arce; great grandchildren, Brantley Bowles, Maverick Gilleland, Lunabella Vargas, and Marisol Vargas; Siblings: Kathleen Vaught and Michael Vaught and many friends and family.

A visitation for Darrell will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westlawn/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A committal service will occur Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, Nebraska 68138. Following service repast will be at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, 2650 Farman St 68131 from 3:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m

Serving as pallbearers are Marcellus Riverz, David Vaught, Charles Gordon, Chrystian Gordon, DeShawn Bogan, DeVaughn Bogan and Craig Faust. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Brian Bogan and Jason Arnold.
