So, mask-wearing is highly requested.
Christine (Miller) Tate was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Frank Fester and Edith Lou (Ross) Miller on June 13, 1945. She lived the last 40 years of her life in Bellevue, Nebraska. On July 25, 2021, Christine Tate returned to her heavenly home to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ, and join her husband Charles L. Tate, sister Bernice Cox (John Cox), her parents, her grandchild Christian Tate, and many other loved ones.
Christine Tate began her professional career as a key punch operator with Bell Telephone Company (Bell Co.), left Bell Co. temporarily to become a military wife and mother of four, and returned working for Bell Co. where she advanced to middle management for AT&T and Qwest, until she joined her husband in retirement, after 28 years of service.
In addition to having a professional career, she was a US Air Force military wife, and served as a domestic engineer, caring for four children, while her husband was on temporary duty travel with the military. The first 20 years of living a military life is when Christine and Charles Tate developed an extended military family with the Allens, Barksdales and many other families.
She came to find Christ on her husband’s birthday, January 25, 1985, where her church family, military family, and kinship blended into a village of lifelong fellowship. In her early years as a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, she taught pre-teen Sunday School Classes, was a member of the Usher Board, Faith Choir and faithfully attended Strangers Rest Missionary Church later in life.
Christine Tate dedicated much of her free time during retirement volunteering at Salvation Army, Offutt AFB Airmen’s Attic, Sarpy County Habitat for Humanity, A Woman's Touch Pregnancy Counseling Center, American Gold Star Mothers, fed the homeless, and traveling with her close friends and family.
Christine Tate is survived by her three sons and one daughter: Darryle V. Tate(Kristel) of Odessa, Texas, Ruth S. Holder(Harold) of Papillion, Nebraska, James C.
