I met Carolyn when she was hired to coordinate a volunteer program  being started at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha in the  1990s. She carried herself with grace, had a great laugh and sense of humor, and worked hard to build a thriving, successful volunteer program. She had lots of creative ideas and was fun to work with. Even after I left that health system, Carolyn and I remained friends through all these years. She dearly missed her beloved husband Bill after he went to heaven, and I'm happy to think of her now joyfully reunited with him. My sympathy to her nephew Mike and his family, and all of Carolyn's friends for their loss.
