Age 79 – October 8, 2022
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, animal advocate and a lifelong Elvis and Disney fan. Born in Council Bluffs, IA and raised in Omaha; a 38-year Bell Pioneer of the Telephone Company, who had a second career at ConAgra Foods. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Smith; sister-in-law Darlene "Dawn" Stobbe; parents, Emil and Mary Butler; beloved dogs “Jackie I, Jackie II, Precious and Peanut.” Survived by her son Randy; daughter Ronda; grandsons Grant and Caden; honorary grandchildren Brittany Prososki and Cade Lierman; nieces and nephews; and beloved dog “Callie”.
FUNERAL SERVICE 10 am Tuesday, October 18th, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1725 S. 60th St.
VISITATION Monday, October 17th, 6-8pm at the Funeral Home. Interment following the Service at Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials to St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Nebraska Humane Society.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1725 S 60th St,, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
Barbara will be laid to rest in West Lawn/Hilcrest Memorial Pk, 5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106.
