Verna Lorraine Tomlinson

Verna Lorraine Thomlinson passed away peacefully at Mariposa Gardens, Osoyoos on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Tomlinson (2013); predeceased by son, David (2005); lovingly remembered by daughter-in-law, Juti; 2 grandsons, Philip and Cyril (Jessica) Tomlinson. Verna was a devoted mother-in-law and grandmother. Survived by 3 sisters, Mary (Tom) Grayson, Bette Maguire and Vera (David) Simpson; predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Verna worked as a computer analyst with Atomic Energy of Canada for many years and was on the board of the Okanagan Symphony. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed her garden.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014, 11 a.m., at the Osoyoos United Church, 7814 Spartan Street. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC/Yukon, 1212 West Broadway, Vancouver, B.C. V6H 3V2 would be appreciated by the family.
