JESSE LEONARD MCMULLEN (1928~2013) - Wrapped in the love of his family, Jesse Leonard McMullen passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2013 at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 85 years young. Predeceased by his wife of 24 years, Rita in 2011; lovingly remembered by children, Lenny McMullen (Debbie), Clayton McMullen, Bill Westlake, Caron (Fred Soucy) and Cheryl Friars; grandchildren, Sarah (Matt Robinson), Jeff Westlake (Jennifer), Pamela (Dave Merrick), Jeremy Simpson (Johanna), Stacy Simpson (J.F. Ouellet), Bryce Westlake and Brianne Westlake; great-grandchildren, Briana, Austin, Austin, Melissa, Kolby, and Tia. Survived by sister, Jean (Dick May); brother, Terry McMullen (Anne) and sister-in-law, Dagney McMullen; predeceased by brother, Harold McMullen. Leonard spent most of his career as a chef and was trained through the Royal Canadian Navy. He enjoyed cooking and crossword puzzles. A celebration honouring the memory of Leonard will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 724 School Avenue, Oliver at 1:00 o'clock. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Palliative Care Unit of South Okanagan General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
