The values you instilled in me will forever be my shining light. I know you will walk with me daily as I will carry you and all of my memories of you, for the rest of my days. 

I HATE today because after today, my life will never be the same, because today is the last time for me to ever see your beautiful face.

Many people say that I have been a good son to you and that may be true, but you were a good mother to me. I am lucky that God chose you to be my mother.

-It is possible for a mother to work hard and raise her 5 kids

However, it is confusing that you were afraid of chickens yet your kitchen decor is a rooster theme...

You did without most all of your life so your kids would not have to. 

So today I am relieved that you are in pain no more. I am so scared to face tomorrow because tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of my life without you. Without our daily phone calls, our weekly dinners and frequent travels. I don't know what I am going to do. I feel empty and lost without you. I know that your teachings will guide me through the rest of my days but my life from this day forward will never be the same. The impact you have had on my life is amazing. 
You were an amazing woman and an amazing mother. 
You said that I have always been "Your" clown and I hope to one day recapture the joy but today, I hurt. The pain within is indescribable. I am broken beyond words when I think of my life without you. It is because you taught me to fight and to never give up, that I pray I will one day be okay.

To My Sweet and beautiful Mama, 
I always feared that the day would come when God would choose to take you away from me. My greatest fear has happened. The years passed so quickly and I thought that I had more time with you. Yes, I made the most of my time with you and I have awesome memories with you. We've shared memories that others only long to have, yet time has passed much too quickly. I am not ready for you to go!

You were my friend, coach, hero, cheerleader, my greatest fan and the most constant love of my life. You love me unconditionally! The last few months of your life was difficult to watch. At a time when you were the one who needed to be encouraged, you were still encouraging me. The selfish part of me wants you to be with me but I know that today you are at rest and not in pain. In your last days I did everything I could to make you better but God had other plans. 

That Gamble stubbornness saw you through many battles and you proved all your life that you are a fighter and never a quitter. 
You taught me so many things including: 
-Never quit
-Work hard for what I want
-To be a hard worker
-To cook
-To keep a clean house
-To re-use Ziplock freezer bags by turning them inside out and washing it, then hang it on the faucet to dry
-You don't have to have a dishwasher to survive
-Sometimes you HAVE to go to work when sick

When daddy had to leave us, I was angry at everyone for that. 
I blamed everyone for it. But then I sit back and watched you day after day pick up the pieces.
And you did that for us kids. 
You never let nothing hold you down and that is where all of us kids get our strength. From watching you over the years, work while you were sick or whatever the case. 
Nothing Stopped You! 
All five kids are so different in every way, but we all turned out good. 
So that should say it all. 
You were the strength and back bone of our up bringing. 
And the greatest woman I ever knew. 

On that note, my brothers and wonderful sister. Our mother is gone to heaven and we owe it to her to never lose each other or our family functions. 
Our chain is missing it's master link but it's not broken.

Let me start out by saying. 
I love you and will miss you so much. Over the last couple of days I just keep thinking about all the times you talk with me and gave me advice on troubles and things that were going on in my life over the years and that advice helped me through it all. 
I never wanted to bother you or any one with it so I tried to handle it alone. But you were the 1st one to pick the phone up every night just to check on me. And when I felt I was failing at life, you would always tell me how proud you were of me for changing my life. 
And that always made me feel great and made me want to try even harder. I am sincerely sorry for the heartache, pain and trouble I ever caused you. 
But you never gave up on me. Thank you.

Dear Sis,
As I sit here hoping the past 3 days were just a bad dream, but it was for real you were gone not knowing when we kissed good-bye Friday that it really was good-bye. We've laughed, cried and fought just like sisters do but we always made things right. The past 4 years of not having to share your sweet love was the best. I'll miss your 8:30 call, your time spent with me on the holidays and the love you've shown Kevin, Christie, Gunner, Brenner and Ms. Edie. Your love for them was unconditional as if they were your children and grandchildren. One day we will be together again just like in the beginning. I love you to the moon and back. Save me a place sweet loving sister, spread your wings and fly high. 

P.S. Your secrets are safe with me. 

You always worried more about me than your self! I don't have the words Mama, but I do have all the memories of our great childhood and that was all based on your love and our security based on you!! Splendid behavior and a true Southern Belle!!

We would watch Hee Haw & then Gunsmoke, then go to bed. I remember our treat on Sat. night was a glass of Coke!! I was so tough & macho, Bobby and Debbie would talk me into seeing who could drink theirs the fastest and I would win, but they were sipping theirs and when my glass was empty they would say "Ha Ha", now you don't have any left!! Mama you have always been there for me, especially when I went through my alcohol addiction and my 3 DUI's. You took me to work for 9 months until I got my drivers license back!

I knew this day would come, but sure thought it would be a lot later! God has another beautiful Angel. 
Just your strong spirit & understanding has molded me into the man I am today! 
We as a family grew up hard & that's life, but you taught me to deal with what you got & not with what you want!! 
If our world had your love and understanding we could probably go to bed at night & not lock our doors.

Mama, 
I am so thankful to know that you accepted the Lord as your Savior some 30 years ago. 
I know you are not tired any more. 
I know that you have all the strength you need now to walk the streets of gold! 

Mama loved going to church. She loved to hear her kids sing gospel songs. She always told me when Bobby sang a special at church and how good it was. She loved walking during the welcoming making sure she hugged or shook hands. This was a big step for mama as she was usually a shy person for things like this. She always laughed at herself because she was the last one to sit down after the welcoming. I told her mama that is okay. No one will mind! 
Just a few weeks ago two of her great grand kids, Madison & Drew named her Double G for great grandma. She laughed when I told her at the hospital. 
Mama I am so thankful for all the special times I was able to share with you. The trips with you I was able to take. The hours we would sit at your kitchen table and talk about things and reminiscence.

Mama, 
Today is a day we did not want to face so soon. 
Here we are to honor and remember such an amazing woman. A woman who had great life lessons you learned by watching her life and by growing up under her wing. 
Mama, I saw you struggle but you never gave up. You never failed to provide for all five of us when you had to alone. You always made our house a home. I will never forget those fried potatoes, beans and cornbread for dinner, those 25 hamburgers almost every Saturday night. 
Even after waking up and cooking breakfast for us every morning before school, working all day and then coming home to finish supper, your work never seemed to stop for us. I learned from your example to become a strong woman, to protect my family and to work hard. 
I will miss your precious voice saying "Love you", your kiss on my cheek after I gave you a kiss, your Gamble wives tales that almost all we have seen come true. Your "hope you have many, many more" in your birthday cards which were sincere words!

Mama,
     Thank you for all you've done for us, for being there, encouraging us, pushing us not to give up. God has blessed you so over the years because you were a blessing to us. For a long time, you worked hard and raised 5 kids. Thank you for teaching us to do the same thing. You loved the Lord and you loved church, it was a big part of your life. I know your in heaven today with Jesus, and I know I'll see you again. 
We miss you so much already.

There are so many memories that I have with my one-of-a-kind Grandma, but I think the best ones are honestly just the days that Jacob and I would just go sit with her at her house. We would just talk and talk about anything and everything. She would tell us about some of her stories growing up, we would visit our memories together, she would tell me stories about my mom and uncles growing up. The tv would be on and we wouldn't even pay attention to it because we were so invested in each other. These are the moments that I long for. Just one more day to sit with her, oh what I would give to hear her say "love you" just one more time. Our relationship grew over these last few years and I am forever grateful for all of the time God allowed us to have her but I wanted more. He had other plans, for not only my sweet Grandma but for each of us. We have to stay committed to him, and we must trust in Him. He will be our only comfort during this time. I am always thinking of you, Grandma, and the amazing impact that you put on everyone around you, we love you very much. Thank you for everything. 

As for my loving Mama, Uncle Terry, Uncle Micheal, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Paul and Aunt Brenda, we are thinking of each of you, wishing you peace and praying that God continues to comfort you (Matthew 5:4). We love each of you very much.
