On Friday January 29, 2021, Tom White, loving husband and father, passed away at the Methodist Olive Branch Hospital at the age of 50. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. A small close family graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, TN at a later date where he will be laid to rest in the White family plots alongside his father William (Bill) White, grandparents William Monroe and Emily White, and Aunt Dorma Jean.
Tom was born on November 16, 1970 in Chattanooga, TN to William (Bill) Thomas White and Virginia Rigsby White. Tom married his dear wife Christy on December 18, 2017. He worked at International Paper. Tom graduated with a degree in chemical engineer from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1994 and graduated in the class of 1989 from Austin High School in Decatur, AL. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed rooting for his beloved Auburn Tigers and attending NASCAR races.
Tom is preceded in death by his father Bill White. Tom is survived by his wife Christy White of Olive Branch, MS, mother Virginia White of Decatur, AL, brother Steven Wayne White and his wife Jennifer White of Kingsport, TN, son William (Will) Thomas White III of Springville, UT, stepdaughter Tiffany Coffey, stepdaughter Whittney Wright, stepson Cory Saint, stepson Michael Saint, and several step-grandchildren.
