Vickie was born on December 2,1950 and was called home to be with the Lord on November 12,2023.
To capture the essence of who she was can only be found in the hearts of the ones she loved. Every breath she took was for them.
Her and her husband Wayne shared 46 years of the most precious love that God gives on Earth. From day one anywhere they went they held hands and each others hearts. She was about family vacations, attending all school events and anything her grandchildren did. In her flower bed with her beloved lab Nygel was her therapy. “Hands in the dirt is good for the soul “. Movie nights snuggled with Dalton with Goobers and popcorn, shopping with Alexa and Cheyanne and sneaking off for “just one more purse “. Being physically carried out of the store by Brittnye because she just couldn’t leave without those shoes. Hugging her son Todd so tight with every ounce of love a mother could hold, to daily phone conversations with her daughter Tonya to rant rave laugh and cry. This is where you could find her for that’s where her heart soared with family.
She leaves no one behind but patiently waits to be reunited one by one with her loved ones. Husband of 46 years, Jesse Wayne Lightsey, daughter,Tonya Keiran, and son, Todd Victory. Grandchildren Brittnye Hamblin, Dalton Duncan, Cheyanne Duncan, and Alexa Duncan. Great grandchildren: Natalye Record and Jacyn Record. Her fur baby Sissy and grand-fur babies Saige, Athena, and Moose. Sister in-law Nell Daughtry and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She has been reunited with her father Samuel Davis, mother Alma Davis, brother Tommy Daughtry, and sister Sherry Davis.
Strength and honor are her clothing. She shall rejoice in time to come. Proverbs 31:25.
In her Honor and her love for rescues the family asks that all donations be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
