Troy Alan Bracken, 54, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 23, 1968 to Bobby and Phyllis Bracken in Parsons, Kansas. Troy bravely fought two brain tumors in 1988 successfully. In April 2023 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor on the cerebellum. The next eight months we spent together are good memories. Troy’s chemo had cured his cancer again but caused too much damage to his bone morrow. God is our strength, and has given us peace. Our experience together was memorable and hopeful. We were blessed from: doctors, hospital staff, cafeteria workers, Costco, Aetna, Costco employees, friends, USCGA family, and churches across the nation. The Bracken family would like to Thank You. Troy worked at Costco and enjoyed a good game of golf. He was a member of Olive Branch Church of Christ. Troy leaves behind his parents, Bobby and Phyllis Bracken; two brothers, James Bracken (Kim), Todd Bracken (Shelia), and a niece, Kora Bracken, and a nephew, Jaden Bracken. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 3:30 pm with visitation beginning at 3:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to Nicaragua Christian School, Nicaragua Christian.org, or Venmo business @Nicaragua Christian School.
