Thomas Powell Medlin, 76, of Byhalia, MS passed away on January 7, 2024. Tom was born December 23, 1947 in Tate Co., MS to the late Marvin and Ethel Medlin. He is a graduate of Independence High School. He worked as a truck mechanic for Harden Sysco. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, watching football, cutting grass, going to Tunica, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina King; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Frances Medlin; daughter, Lisa Hopkins (Marcus); grandson, Jake Hopkins; brother, Wade; sisters: Margaret, Brenda, Susan, and Vicky; step-son, Carlton Robinson (Stephanie); step-daughter, Teresa Guess (Troy); 8 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held at the Medlin home on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 12-3 pm.
