Penny Pirtle Robertson, 55, of Southaven, MS, died Wednesday October 17, 2018 at North Delta Hospice House, having fought cancer courageously for thirteen years. She worked at Jack Pirtles but, undoubtedly, her favorite and most fulfilling job was being a mom and taking care of her family that she loved dearly. Saying that Penny loved shopping would be an understatement. It was by far her favorite hobby and many suspect that Black Friday sales may drop substantially this year due to her passing. She was also a skilled freehand artist and enjoyed drawing. Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Robertson, her sister, Janet O'Neal, and her grandparents. She is survived by her father, Cordell Pirtle (Tawanda), her mother, Barbara Pirtle, her daughter, Shelby Robertson, her son, Austin Robertson, one sister, Wendy Willey (Rob), her sister-in-law, Annaree Carter (Scott), her brother-in-law, Wyndell Robertson (Pam), She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jennifer Eichelberger (Tommy), Dianna Baker, Scottie Carter (Mandy), Zachary Carter (Caurie), Wesley Carter (Lacey) , Kayla Clarke, Kelsye Freeman (Chuck), Megan Hannigan (Jack), Ricky O'Neal, and Tiffany O'Neal, and her grandson, Knox Moorman. She is also survived by a host of other family members. The family will receive friends Friday October 19, 2018 from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock in the evening and the funeral service will be held on Saturday October 20, 2018 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum Street, Olive Branch, MS.
