Peggy Williams

Peggy Sue Williams, 62, of Hernando, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011, at Baptist Hospital DeSoto. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Monday, February 14, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, at Getwell Road United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Autumn Woods Cemetery. Born and raised in Olive Branch, Peggy graduated from Olive Branch High School, and she retired from the security department of Bally’s Casino in Tunica. She was an avid horse enthusiast and barrel racing champion. Mrs. Williams was a former member of Eudora United Methodist Church, and most recently she was a member of Getwell Road United Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. B. and Rosie Wallace; and three brothers, Max, Hassel, and Maurice Wallace. Peggy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Bill “Bilbo” Williams; two sons, Shane Williams (Delayne) and Gene Williams (Tammy); six grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Melba Philen and Helen Patrick; and five brothers, Wayne, Billy, Johnny, Larry, and Tommy Wallace. Memorial contributions may be made to Getwell Road United Methodist Church.
