Patricia Stallings Baker, 74, of Barton, MS went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2024. Pat was born on May 4, 1949 in Barton, MS to the late Herbert and Jeanette Stallings. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Stallings. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, David Baker; daughter, Brandi Bell (Tommy); daughter, Jann Baker Lenzer; grandchildren: Kayla Bell, Thomas Bell (Amy), Connor Lenzer, Colton Lenzer, and Christian Lenzer; and one great-grandchild, Julianna Bell. Pat was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of First Baptist Collierville. She loved her church family, Sunday School Class, and prayer group deeply. Her faith was truly the cornerstone of her life. If she told you that she would pray for you, she meant it, and you could be certain that she prayed for you. If you knew her, you loved her. Her kindness and genuine care for others was felt by all. You would never see Pat without a smile on her beautiful face. Even if there was something troubling her, she did not worry because she knew God had a plan and she trusted that plan. She touched so many with her genuine caring spirit, warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. She was the epitome of unconditional love, selflessness, and strength. She deeply loved her husband, David. They were an example of what true Christian marriage should look like. They always put each other’s needs and their love for each other first. The enjoyed taking rides in their T-bird where they could hold hands, listen to the “oldies”, and just spend time together. One of her greatest joys in life was being “MOMS” to her grandchildren. She was always there for her 5 grandchildren. The wisdom and kindness she shared with each of them has helped shape their lives in the most beautiful way. She showered them with affection, baked delicious treats, and listened to many stories with a heart full of warmth. Her presence brought comfort and joy to all of her family. Her grandkids will cherish every memory made with MOMS. She was not just a grandmother, but also a beacon of love and strength and joy in their lives. She recently became a great grandmother just 7 weeks ago. Her love has been a rock and an anchor for her family during the difficult times in life. She was such a blessing and a beautiful ray of sunshine for them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and cherished her. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Collierville First Baptist from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Barton Cemetery.
