Misty Jeanette Smith, 38, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 4, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 15, 1986 to Garry and Tonie Smith in Memphis, TN. Misty brought sunshine into the lives of everyone she touched. Her adventurous spirit was evident in her love for beach travel and cherished moments spent with her beloved animals - from her chickens and horse to her faithful companion, Bella. Whenever it was time to dine out, Mexican food was always at the top of Misty's list. However, her greatest joy and devotion were reserved for her children; nothing brought her more happiness than being their loving mother and sharing precious moments with them. Misty's vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Garry Dean Smith, and her nephew, Michael “Mikey” Tadlock. Misty leaves behind her mother, Tonie Smith; her two children, Khloe-Ann Brooks and her father, Kevin Brooks, and Lilly Mae Bowen, and her father, Harley Bowen; three siblings, Amanda Tadlock (Michael), Tisha Chavez (Noe), and Garry Smith (Sarah), and her grandparents, Bill and Rebecca Shell and Shirley and Dean Smith. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 12:00 pm with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods. The family invites everyone to a catered reception after at Apostolic Church of Jesus, 178 Stonewall Rd. Byhalia, MS 38611.
