MEREDITH E. “Marty” TANNER, 72, died December 23, 2010. Services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch. Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, also at the funeral home. Marty served his country in the U.S. Navy, Army and Air Force. He was a retired truck driver and was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Tanner is survived by two sons, Michael Tanner (Paula) of Horn Lake, MS and Norman Tanner (Diana) of Byhalia; his companion, of 18 years, Brenda Markle and his ex-wife and dear friend, Elizabeth Tanner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
