Melba Irene Wallace Philen, 86, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Along with her parents, James and Rosie Wallace; she was preceded in death by her husband, James Philen; two daughters, Laureen "Coonie" Corkran and Helen Sue Philen; a sister, Peggy Sue Williams and three brothers, Max, Maurice, and Hassell Wallace. Melba is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Rose Philen; a sister, Mary Helen Patrick; five brothers, Wayne, Billy, Tommy, Johnny and Larry Wallace. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Cody (Kelli), Calvin (Christine), Brandi, and Joshua and eight great grandchildren, Kiegan, Kaydence, Trenton, Ethan, Kaylianne, Kira, Camdyn, and Carly. Family will receive guests on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the service to immediately follow at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
