Maxine Dorsett Myers, of Olive Branch, MS, died on Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was only 90 years old. Born in Arkansas to the late Clinton Lee and Beulah Irene Dorsett, Maxine is the last of their six children. She was passionate about her family, watching her hummingbirds in the back yard, shopping, cooking and crochet. Ms. Myers retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Company after 30+ years of service. Her family will gather for a brief time to share memories and refreshments on Wednesday, March 2 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Procession will follow to West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery where staff celebrant Mark Horton will lead the funeral service for Mrs. Myers beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2. Ms. Myers will then be buried with her husband Howard J. Myers who preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Myers is survived by her daughter, Vicki L. (Damon G. Jr.) Jones of Olive Branch, MS; two granddaughters, Kimberly Jones Marbury (Patrick) of Rogers, Ark. and Lindsey Renae Hannigan (Sean) of Bartlett, TN; great-grandchildren, Eden Guess, and Preston and Melissa Marbury.
