Mary Edith May

Mary Edith May, 85, of Senatobia, MS, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 in Southaven, MS. Mrs. May was a member of Solid Rock Assembly of God and dedicated her life to serving the Lord and serving others. She was a spiritual warrior who loved to sing and loved music and went to every revival she could. Her favorite thing to do was to pray for others. She was tiny and powerful and was affectionately known as Sis. May. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers and was the cornerstone of her family. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. May was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Marion May and her son, Kenneth Ray May. She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Wirt, her son, Jesse Marion May, Jr. two brothers, Dean Hall (Carolyn), and Arthur Hall, as well as three grandchildren, Regina Dawn Waldrip (Keith), Joshua Brent May, and Jason May, and three great-grandchildren, Jessica Faye Read (Corey), Ross May, and Meredith May. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 1:30-2:30pm at Solid Rock Assembly of God in Senatobia, MS and the funeral service will follow at 2:30pm.
