Lizzie Ione Gammon, of McMinnville, TN, passed away April 4, 2015. She was born June 3, 1941 in New Albany, MS. She was saved September 23, 1962 at Victory heights Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. She taught children for over 40 years. She lived in Barton, MS for over 40 yrs. and married Bro Joe Gammon in 2009 and moved to McMinnville, TN, where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bro Joe Gammon, his daughter Leslie (Tom) Fittis, whom she loved like a daughter, daughter, Judith Annette (Terry) Turner, son, Billy Joe (Paula) Whitten Jr, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 also at Brantley Funeral Home with burial to follow at Barton Methodist Cemetery.
