Linda Marie McNees, 79, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 5, 1945, in Osceola, Arkansas, to Odell and Cassie Coates, Linda lived a life full of adventure and purpose.
As a dedicated mother, Linda poured her heart into supporting her family. She was a resilient single mother who instilled her strength and determination in her daughters. Linda’s sense of humor brought joy to those around her, leaving a trail of laughter wherever she went.
Linda was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will continue to inspire.
Linda leaves behind her two daughters, Cindy McNees and Karen McNees; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Nicole Bruner, Jeffrey McNees, Patrick McNees; four great-grandchildren: Trevor Bruner, Triston Bruner, Ruger Bruner, and Kaia McNees. She also leaves behind her best friend and beloved pup, Duke.
A funeral service will occur on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Barton First Baptist Church, 523 Quinn Rd. Byhalia, MS 38611. Burial will follow at Barton Cemetery in Byhalia, MS.
