Lester L. Murphy

Lester L. Murphy, 80, of Olive Branch, passed away August 6, 2013. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 11, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Born on August 26, 1934 in Memphis, TN, to the late Jesse and Patty Murphy, Lester graduated from Hernando High School. He retired from Fruehauf Trailers after 30 years of service. Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Murphy of Olive Branch; his daughter, Cindy Thompson of Lawrenceville, GC; his son, Dexter Murphy of San Antonio, TX; his sister, Carolyn Rutledge of Olive Branch; his brother, Morris Murphy of Olive Branch; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
