Judy H. Smart Lewis was born May 6, 1946 in Holly Springs, MS to the late Robert W. Smart and the Late Gladys Freeman Smart of Wyatte, MS. She passed from this life July 9, 2017 in Olive Branch, MS. She is survived by her husband, Eddie C. Lewis of Olive Branch, MS; two daughters, Angelia Weeks (Mickey) of Collierville, TN, and Christy Dye of Olive Branch, MS. She has three grandchildren, Autumn and Nolan Weeks, and Lance Dye. She has one sister, Beth Smart Ashford of Cleveland, Ms. She was a member of the Germantown Church of Christ. Judy attended Senatobia High School, Harding University, and Delta State University. She earned a MEd in Counseling from Delta State. She was a License Professional Counselor. Judy worked with the Community Counseling Center in Cleveland, MS; Quinco in Selma, TN; Community Counseling Center in Greenville, MS. She had a private practice in Olive Branch and was on retainer with a couple of local churches. She helped hundred of clients with all kinds of mental health issues. She especially worked with couples on marriage issues, those who suffered from all kinds of abuse, and depression. She conducted several workshops and classes on personal development. She spoke at many women's retreats, workshops, and classes. Also, she co-hosted, with her husband, a "Marriage Enrichment Seminar." She was actively involved in the Olive Branch Community and her church. Family will receive guests on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 2:00pm with the services to immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Germantown Church of Christ, 8723 Poplar Pike, Germantown, TN 38138. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods.
