Josephine C. Smith, 79, of the Greenleaf community, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Frederick P. Smith and is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Sareta and Loron Landsey of Rogersville, AL., JoAnn and Mike Jones of Hernando, MS, Sheila and Don Sowell of Independence, MS and Lisa and Kenny Sowell of Greenleaf; a sister, Lois Horne of Southaven; grandsons, Mark Lott, Jeffrey and Justin Sowell, as well as seven other grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her other brothers and sisters. Family and friends will gather at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, this evening, Monday, September 2, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. Celebration of Life services will be at Mt. Manna Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 3 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Greenleaf Cemetery.
