Joan Thompson Kemper, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Baptist DeSoto in Southaven, MS. She was born March 13, 1930 to the late George and Myrtle Duckwall in Ohio. Joan exuded a vibrant spirit throughout her life. She found joy in social gatherings and was always in the know. Gardening brought her immense pleasure, especially nurturing her beloved flowers. Her career in Hotel Administration spanned until her retirement. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Robbin Kemper; two children, Barbie Krewson, and Richard Krewson; a grandson, Cory Gardner; her parents, George and Myrtle Duckwall, and six siblings. She was survived by three children, Pamela Krewson, Gregory Krewson (Anita), and Richard Kemper; a sister, Mary Heskett, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
