Jimmie Walter Cox, 89, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2022. Mr. Cox was born on January 7, 1933 in Hickory Flat, MS to Robert and Lura Cox. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Maydene Cox who passed away December 22, 2022; sister, Jessie Lowery; and son-in-law, Ross Pavlik. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Pavlik; son, Rick Cox (Celeste); son, Tony Cox (Charlotte); grandchildren: Jordan Cox (Paige), Amber Smith (Parker), and Harper Cox; sisters: Merita Bagwell, Francine Howell, Mary Boatner, and Ella Thompson; and one brother, Jack Cox. Mr. Cox worked for twenty-five and a half years as district sales manager for Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Memphis. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Gracewood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Although there will be no graveside services, Mr. Cox will be buried at Memorial Park Southwoods.
