Jerry Bryce Rutledge

Jerry Bryce Rutledge, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 13, 1954 to Bryce and Jessie lee Rutledge in Memphis, TN. Jerry was a one of a kind man. He knew how to make you laugh even when you didn’t want to. Jerry was quirky, smart, and sometimes a perfectionist. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for geography. Jerry also enjoyed architecture, and was artistic. He even built his own home. Jerry loved his family and his friends and would do anything for them. He was a plumber for over 37 years and served on The Plumbing Advisory Board of Memphis and Shelby County. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bryce and Jessie Lee Rutledge. He leaves behind his two children, Joseph Rutledge (Leslie) and Lauren Melton (Michael); mother of his children, Debbie Rutledge, and his sister, Beverly Rutledge. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Lillie Mae Rutledge, David Jedi Bryce Rutledge, Joseph Brodie Melton, and Laura Belle Melton.
