James “Jack” Dennis, 72, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and lifelong friends, Don and Trish Harris. Born on October 17, 1951, in Memphis, TN, he was the son of the late Gerald and Noma Lee Dennis.
A dedicated carpenter for over 40 years, Jack never truly retired, finding joy in his craft. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes, and he cherished his home on the Tennessee River, delightfully located on Catfish Lane.
Jack was a devoted family man, treasuring the time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Noma Lee Dennis. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Dennis; three children, Kristin Horton (Greg), Justin Dennis (Alicia), Courtney Allen (Chris); two siblings, Sheri Hale (Philip), and Mike Dennis. Jack also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Hunter, Averie, Garrett, Emmalyn, Mason, Kaylin, Kiley, and Caroline.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 3:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
