Hartsell Sheffield Conway

Hartsell Ruth Conway formerly from Byhalia, MS passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 peacefully at home in Southaven, MS. She was 84 years old. Hartsell Ruth was born in Ingrams Mill, MS, grew up there and in Byhalia, MS and was a graduate of Olive Branch High School. Hartsell Ruth’s favorite hobbies were sewing, baking, gardening and TN walking horses. She was an active church member at Byhalia United Methodist until her health prevented her from doing so. Hartsell Ruth was preceded in death by husband, Jimmy Conway and great-grandchild, Ford Conway. She is survived by a son, Dudley Conway; 2 daughters, Nancy and Lisa Conway; 4 grandchildren, Cody and Caleb Conway, Bodi and Cadi Beard; 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the Alzheimer Association or National Institute on Aging.
