Emma Jean Savage (92) went to be with the Lord March 10, 2020. She was a long time resident of Olive Branch, MS and, as a member of Bellevue Baptist in Cordova, TN, was a devout Christian. She lived at the AHC nursing home in Savannah, TN at the time of her death. Mrs. Savage was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed cooking and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed being with friends and family and going eating out. She was a devoted house wife, mother, grandmother and more. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Fred Barnett, Lula Mae Carter Barnett and a son, Michael Allen Savage; two brothers, Tom and George Barnett and one sister, Hazel Van Cleave. Mrs. Savage was born February 21, 1928 in Shannon, MS. She is survived by her son, Patrick Lynn Savage (Rene’); a daughter-in-law Dixie Savage (Michael); two granddaughters, Traci Markum (Rob) and Andrea Hilliard; four grandsons, two great grandsons and two great granddaughters. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 5pm-7pm and funeral services will be Monday, March 16, 2020 at 2pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St., Olive Branch, MS 38654. Graveside service will follow at Blocker Cemetery, 6671 Shady Grove Cv., Olive Branch, MS 38654.
